FIAT 131 Abarth Rally OLIO FIAT (1:24) - 3667
Plastic model kit. Scale: 1:24; size: 17,4 cm. Difficulty: 3.
The Fiat 131 Abarth was based on Fiat's two-door sedan. The development carried out on it by the Abarth company brought a number of modifications and improvements such as the use of a lighter chassis, larger fenders, new air intake openings on the hood and sides to optimize mechanical cooling. As a powerplant, it received a four-cylinder longitudinally mounted engine with a light alloy head and 4 valves per cylinder. The Fiat 131 Abarth was produced from 1976 and competed in the World Rally Championship, winning three Constructors' Cups, one FIA Drivers' Cup and one Drivers' title. It competed in international competitions until 1982, when it was replaced by Lancia cars. Some of its colourful bodywork, associated with the typical sponsors of the time, have become iconic in the history of rally car racing.
