Model information:

The A-1A, which represented the primary production variant of the Messerschmitt Me262 jet, was a fighter-bomber version of the machine Hitler so desired. It could be used as an interceptor or configured to carry bombs and air-to-air mortars on pylons mounted on the nose. It still had the powerful nose-mounted guns that the Germans used to devastating effect against massed USAAF bomber formations attacking Germany, and the offensive firepower of these fighters could be further enhanced by fitting R4M "Orkan" (Hurricane) rocket kits under each wing. Under each wing it was thus possible to carry twelve stabilized R4M missiles mounted on primitive wooden hangers, each capable of shooting down one enemy bomber.
